Our lil’ munchkins grow up fast — before you know it they’ll be trading their diapers for two-wheelers. Make sure you capture every special moment, like the day you bring your little ones home from the hospital, their first steps, and those adorable stage debuts.
Oh and if you’re daunted by the thought of colored construction paper, glue sticks, and stencils, you’re not alone — check out one mom’s hilarious recount of her experiences with scrapbooking: http://www.parenttalktoday.com/2009/06/19/paper-and-scissors-and-glue-oh-my/

You’re not the only one who avoids the ever-growing pile of dirty dishes in the sink, the larger-than-life sized dust bunnies collecting underneath the couch, or the unsightly grime in the bathtub. Doing the household chores will never be fun so we shouldn’t let it take up too much time. Enlist the whole family in keeping your home clean with this task chart so you can spend more time doing things you actually enjoy! http://housekeeping.about.com/od/chorechart1/a/ageapprchores.htm
Part of the fun of getting up in the morning is picking out what to wear for the rest of the day. Although it may be a terrifying thought to let your kids to coordinate their own outfits, it will help them build confidence in their personal style and help you reduce the stress of getting them ready for school in the mornings. Just keep their wardrobes stocked with a good selection of basics that include comfy tops and bottoms so you won’t have to worry about any crazy getups!
Cooking dinner for your family every night can be such a headache, especially if one of your kids wants lasagna and the other will only eat pasta with melted butter (go figure). And let’s not mention the fact that you’re trying to squeeze in those veggies for their 5 servings a day and include all the food groups. Making sure that a meal is ‘well balanced’ can be hard work, but cooking it doesn’t have to be. Little helping hands can be surprisingly useful in the kitchen arena just as long as you give them easy tasks like mixing, pouring, stirring, and washing. And when your kids are involved in cooking the food, they are more likely to like it!
It’s hard enough buying Christmas presents let alone buying thoughtful trinkets that have to fit into a large sock. Just enter “1cent” at the checkout to get in on the deal.
Holiday shopping can bring out the worst in people: claustrophobia from mall crowds, competitiveness for that last red sweater on the sale rack, anxiety about that rapidly-encroaching credit limit, among other things. Make this season a stress-free holiday again with these shopping tips:
- Shop online whenever possible. And yes, that could include grocery shopping for that big dinner party you’re hosting.
- Redeem your reward points from your credit card to buy gifts for loved ones.
- If possible, place coveted items on hold or lay-away as an alternative to paying cash or using credit. The retailer will hold your item in reserve until you pay for it in full.
- Avoid shopping altogether and CRAFT your present!
- Shop alone! Less distractions make for better and faster purchase decisions.
- Keep all your receipts from gift shopping together so that it’s easier to find the receipt to return Grandma Sue’s gravy boat when you find out she already has the same one.

During the summer months, we are constantly being reminded about UVA and UVB rays and their harmful effects on our health and it’s easy to see why when you find yourself hanging out at the beach with the sun beating down on your skin. Unfortunately, as summer slips away and the temperature creeps lower and lower, we tend forget that the sun is still in commission. So before you head out the door to hit the slopes, walk the dog, or ride your bike this winter, make sure you’ve got sunscreen and sun protective clothing on. Agoo’s UV protective fabrics will take care of the latter by blocking out those harmful UV rays!
It’s always been a dream of ours to win an Emmy award or star in a hit television series. However, due to questionable acting skills (or lack thereof), these events will most likely remain dreams. Thanks to our friends at Breakfast Television and Allison from Style Kid, we had the chance to have our television debut. Favorites like LegHuggers and the MED rain jacket were featured on cuties Jada and Carson. Click here to check out the video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zH71_oBjRrI
